Our Team
Rosita ~ Head Taster
Rosita was my first dog to bring home from working at the shelter. She is the inspiration for the business as well as my canine comfort. Never one to turn down a treat she is a professional taster and loves napping, playing fetch and lots of attention.
Chase ~ Tail Waggin’ Support
Chase passed the Rosita litmus test and was adopted around the age of one. He was found roaming the streets of Memphis. Out at an adoption event he won my heart as he is a very sweet boy. Chase also has a sensitive stomach so we are very careful about the treats he eats and homemade is the best. His hobbies are playing in the yard and jumping the back fence!

Jenny Pagel Oxandale ~ Head Barker
Jenny grew up on a farm near Holton, Kansas and always worked with animals through 4-H and remembers the family dog Barney growing up. She has a degree from Fort Hays State University and a Masters from the University of Memphis. After graduating from UM she started working at the Memphis Shelby County Humane Society as the Community Outreach Manager. In that position she worked hard to educate the community about responsible pet ownership and finding dogs forever homes. One of the most emotional experiences at the Humane Society was working with the numerous evacuees from Hurricane Katrina and their pets during the aftermath and placing animals that had been rescued from what remained of New Orleans.
Caring for dogs and the relationship between people and their fur children is important to Jenny. This led to Jenny pursuing Rosita’s Ruff Cakes LLC as a business in addition to her other work and activities in the Topeka community. What is better than spending everyday working with your peeps?
